How to arrange an open access endoscopy

Your referring doctor can submit a referral directly to our practice. Our team will review the referral and contact you to arrange a suitable appointment time.

What to expect

On the day of your procedure, you will be admitted to the endoscopy unit. The nursing staff will confirm your details and prepare you for the procedure. Your doctor will explain the procedure and answer any questions before obtaining your consent.

The procedure will be performed under sedation. You will need someone to drive you home afterwards.

Results will be discussed with you on the day, and a detailed report will be sent to your referring doctor.
